AUDIO EVERYWHERE
When Justin and Erin moved in to their mid-century modern home, they both agreed their new home needed to have one thing—a house full of sound. Erin explains, "We both love lots of different styles of music—Rock, Bluegrass and Hip-Hop to name a few and while Justin likes to listen to the game while working outside, I love talk radio. For us, we had to have an easy way to enjoy audio in every room of the house."
Justin and Erin added a distributed audio system to their home, consisting of an audio matrix switcher, which moves signals from an audio source (like an iPod or Satellite Radio) to any room, speakers for each audio zone and a touch panel or remote control to adjust volume and select and control each source. They also added basic control of their living room’s Blu-Ray DVD player, High Definition DVR and XBOX game console.
Now Justin and Erin can listen to their latest CDs, choose from over 100 Sirius Satellite Radio channels or shuffle their favorite iPod Playlists with ease from any room in the house. Each room has either an AMX Wireless Touch Panel or Remote Control to allow the couple to select the right track for the moment.
Each audio zone works independently of each other, meaning Justin and Erin can be listening to different music or audio in any room without interfering with each other.
"We have friends over all the time. Our system is great because while I am relaxing by the pool listening to my music, Justin and his friends can be listening to something else inside or watching TV."
But what the couple loves most is their system’s simplicity. “All our music, our satellite radio, and our iPods are right there, and with a push of a button we can listen to whatever we want. It’s so simple and accessible.”
